Performance in research and innovation lags behind European neighbours
The Italian National Research Council has warned that the country is still lacking both a vision and a long-term policy for the research and innovation sector.
It urges the government to look beyond the surge of funding created by its post-Covid plans, as this will come to an end in 2026-27.
