‘Surge’ in digital health publications identified

Rise in publications and patents demonstrates potential of wearables and apps, says report

There has been a near 70-fold increase in the number of academic publications about digital health over the decade to 2022, with China leading on volume of articles published, according to a new report.

Clarivate*, a company that provides research-related data and software, published the report on 27 June, saying that it highlights “rapid growth in both research and patent activity around digital health”.
