Covid commission considers expanded role

Vaccine effectiveness may be examined as royal commission enters second year of work

New Zealand’s Royal Commission inquiry into the Covid-19 pandemic is preparing to change its direction as it anticipates new terms of reference.

In a 7 May statement, commission chair Tony Blakely said that, in addition to its current brief, “it would be useful to clarify to what extent vaccine effectiveness is considered part of the inquiry”.
