Ireland’s first innovation diplomat to be based in San Francisco

Six of such roles will focus on increasing Ireland’s global ‘talent and innovation’ footprint

San Francisco—home to Silicon Valley, one of the world’s largest technological innovation hubs—will host Ireland’s first talent and innovation diplomat, according to the country’s research minister.

Simon Harris made the announcement as part of the launch of an international education and innovation strategy, held in Washington.
