Key advisory body wants member nations to have more say over R&I programme’s funding priorities
The EU’s next research and innovation programme should have a “stronger leading role” in promoting the bloc’s competitiveness, according to a group that advises the union on its R&I policy.
This should involve the programme “offering solutions and responding to the challenges and emerging priorities of our times”, according to the European Research Area and Innovation Committee, an advice body formed of representatives of the EU member states and the European Commission. Erac will have a powerful but not decisive influence over the design of the programme.
