Hepi analysis suggests UK and US systems are more diverged than might be thought
Two-year higher education courses in the US have been falling in popularity compared to four-year degrees, an analysis by the Higher Education Policy Institute suggests, with implications for UK policymakers who have been promoting shorter courses in Britain.
Nicholas W. Hillman, a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Education and author of the report, said that “despite many differences, the US offers valuable policy lessons other countries may find useful."
