George Freeman hints at alternatives to association as researchers fear exclusion from EU funding scheme
Science minister George Freeman has hinted at alternative plans should the UK fail to associate to Horizon Europe, the European Union’s €95.5 billion (£80.5bn) research and innovation programme.
His intervention comes as pressure mounts on the government to guarantee funding for researchers who won Horizon funding but cannot access it until the delayed association deal is signed.
