European research integrity code given greater focus on culture

                                

Widely used code also updated to reflect evolutions in data and tools like artificial intelligence

A widely used European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity has been updated with a greater focus on areas including the culture of the work environment.

The code from the European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities (Allea) is used across the continent as the basis for local and national policies and guidelines on research integrity, covering issues such as the need for research to be carried out in reliable ways and reported honestly.
