RI Days: Gentiloni says EU “clearly underinvesting” in research and innovation
Europe needs to invest much more in research and innovation to achieve its socioeconomic goals and avoid falling behind its global competitors, the EU economy commissioner Paolo Gentiloni has warned.
“Europe needs to massively step up its game,” Gentiloni (pictured) said in the keynote speech on the opening day of the European Commission’s Research and Innovation Days conference in Brussels on 20 March.
